Slouching raggedly towards a conclusion, the end of the building project is
finally in sight. Nevertheless, maintaining momentum as the end looms into
view is proving harder than expected, with many loose ends still to be
tied-off.
Forcing the pace, we are now committed to taking delivery of all of the
furnishings for Mazzaforte, 12-13 March. As there are many large items -
sofas and so on, that cannot be moved between floors and buildings easily,
these must go into final locations as they are delivered. So being
completely finished with all interior work prior to the 12th is now critical. As
is clearing the site, because work on the garden has recently recommenced.
So, everything now points to the house being available for rent by Easter

unglazed tiles - easy on the feet and much smarter than the tatty old
composites they replace. The refurbishment will transform this part of the
garden into one of the most important - and attractive - features of the
property.

out over the valley - and the garden below - is dramatic, making this a
great place for a swim on a hot day followed by an hour or two on a

The installation team from Mobili Carlini
has been back on site, this time to
deliver and fit the kitchen in the main
house. All units are now in place with
work surfaces and overhead cooker
vents still to be fitted. These will arrive
in ten days time.

| The amazingly good weather we have enjoyed throughout February means that quite a lot of work has been possible on the pool and surrounding area. The concrete base is now complete and ready to be tiled. The new liner can't be fitted until the weather is consistently warmer, so this will most likely go in during April. |
